I would say that this is true today more than ever, especially considering the notion that mega-countries like China and India are playing a never ending game of industrialization catch-up.

These countries have watched for years as the US and other first world nations have basked in wealth and modern conveniences, and so now these countries along with their Billions of occupants are seeking the same quality of life. Which is fine;  the only catch is that global pollution goes hand in hand with modernization and industrialization. The amount of pollutants in the environment does in fact have a direct and proportional relationship to the levels of toxins found in the human body.

The effects of industrialization and it's resulting pollution can be felt by everyone, just about everywhere on a round planet. Human toxicity levels are at the highest levels to date and the results on the human body are alarming to say the least.
